The leadership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Cross River Chapter, has promised her full-fledged support to the Management of CRUTECH, in a bid to grow the institution.
This was made known during a courtesy call by the NSE Exco, on the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Augustine Oko Angba, in his office, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
The NSE Chairman, Engr. Dr. Desmond Ewa, noted in his speech that the group was inspired by the laudable strides of the Vice Chancellor, whose peculiar vision for the institution has not been truncated by prevailing challenges. Engr. Ewa thanked the VC for the four (4) Faculty of Engineering students who benefited from his novel "FOTOS" Scholarship Awards and for appointing staff of the faculty to various administrative positions. He prayed for a continuous and robust mutual working relationship between the NSE and CRUTECH Management and promised not to let down the confidence reposed on them.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Augustine Oko Angba, lauded the NSE for her show of support. He expressed optimism that with the quality and perceived connection of the CRUTECH-based officials, the NSE could afford to assist the university to rehabilitate its deplorable road leading into the Calabar campus.
High point of the visit was; signing of the Visitor's register and a group photograph of the University Management with the NSE officials.
